Please don't put off what you can do today, until tomorrow....advise from best friends!

My husband Dan and I have been friends with Pat, Wayne, Terry and Dave since 1969!  We have gone through our own weddings, births of our children, the trials and joys of raising children, our children's celebrations, weddings and their own births and our retirements. The six of us have traveled together, have camped together, have played together for so many years.

There were some sad and frightening times in our relationships and unbelievable joy. No matter what happens in our lives we continue to connect.   Pat and Wayne moved to Vernon very shortly after they retired.  Terry, Dave, Dan and I continue to live in Richmond.

This morning Pat reached out to us to tell us that a close and old friend of theirs from Halifax (the rest of us know him from the past) just passed away from a terrible, painful disease....bladder and liver cancer.  Pat and Wayne knew how sick he was but did not know that he would pass away so quickly. They had just spoken to yesterday and expected another few months to "keep in touch"!

Last week, this fellow told Pat and Wayne not to put off what you can do today, until tomorrow!!!  Pat and Wayne shared that message with us this morning.  Goodbye Skip!  We are glad you are at peace.

Hello Pat, Wayne, Terry and Dave!  Aren't we lucky we still have each other to say hello to?  As Pat ended her message this morning...keep in touch!
